Linking oral microbes to systemic health
About Us
Pioneer in Salivary Diagnostics | Creator of MicrobeLinkDX® | Educator & Speaker
Jennifer Seider RDH is a leading expert in salivary diagnostics and the creator of MicrobeLinkDX®, an advanced molecular diagnostic test that detects 11 key bacteria linked to periodontal and systemic diseases. Since 2005, she has been at the forefront of applying molecular diagnostics to identify pathogenic activity, helping to bridge the connection between oral health and conditions like heart disease, Alzheimer’s, diabetes, and preterm birth.
Her MicrobeLinkDX® system allows for early detection and intervention, empowering dental professionals to prevent bone loss and systemic spread of harmful bacteria. With a commitment to improving patient care, Jennifer actively educates dental teams on the latest diagnostic advancements and periodontal therapies. She is also a sought-after speaker and organizes events like Boots, Bugs, and Biofilm, where she shares her expertise on oral-systemic health.
Beyond her professional work, Jennifer enjoys life in Cookeville, TN, with her husband, Marlin, a former firefighter, and their daughter, Kennedy, a competitive setter for the TPV volleyball team. Their family also includes their loyal Doberman, Tessa.

SIGNATURE CE PROGRAMS
Linking Oral Microbes to Systemic Health
Understanding the science behind the oral microbiome.
Clinical findings tell us what we see—but the oral microbiome helps explain why disease occurs. This evidence-based program explores the relationship between periodontal pathogens and systemic conditions including cardiovascular disease, diabetes, Alzheimer’s disease, pregnancy complications, respiratory disease, rheumatoid arthritis, and more.
Participants will gain a practical understanding of today’s oral-systemic science and discover how bacterial diagnostics can strengthen patient education, treatment planning, and long-term health outcomes.
Participants will learn to:
- Explain the relationship between oral microbes and systemic health
- Identify key pathogens associated with chronic inflammatory diseases
- Incorporate oral-systemic conversations into everyday patient care
- Recognize when bacterial diagnostics enhance diagnosis and treatment planning
The Science Behind the Smile
Implementing bacterial diagnostics into the modern hygiene department.
Move beyond traditional periodontal assessments and discover how bacterial diagnostics transform clinical decision-making. This course provides a practical roadmap for implementing bacterial testing into everyday hygiene workflows—from selecting the right patients and interpreting reports to communicating results with confidence.
Participants leave with practical systems they can immediately implement to improve patient care, increase case acceptance, and elevate the standard of periodontal therapy.
Participants will learn to:
- Identify ideal candidates for bacterial testing
- Understand DNA-PCR bacterial diagnostics and report interpretation
- Build simple workflows for incorporating testing into hygiene appointments
- Communicate results confidently to improve patient understanding and treatment acceptance
